Education

Education is the foundation for long-term development. Every year, MTN Rwanda supports students from underprivileged families by covering their school fees. This is made possible through a strong partnership with Imbuto Foundation, ensuring that deserving students can stay in school and pursue their dreams.
By investing in education, we are not only changing individual lives—we are shaping Rwanda’s future workforce.

Through different CSI functions, MTN every year involve its employees from 1st – 21st of June to volunteer in social initiatives across the country where we operate.
MTN Rwanda through its CSI programmes has played an active role in supporting Rwanda’s priorities in closing the digital divide. Digitalization in education has significant potential to increase equality of access and use of education materials. Under this programme, MTN partners with IHS Rwanda to facilitate the infrastructure of computer labs in TVET Schools across Rwanda.

MTN acknowledges that an effective board must have the expertise and competence to promptly and appropriately address current and emerging issues to ensure the delivery of our strategy. A clear division of responsibilities at the head of the company ensures a balance of authority. No individual has unfettered powers of decision-making, and no block of individuals can dominate the Board. Our Board Charter stipulates that operation of the Board and the executive responsibility for running the business are separate tasks.
