MTN Unicall is a new product that is set to streamline the integration of enterprise communication services under the Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) product umbrella. These products include SIP Trunk, Hosted PBX (Office lines) and Hosted Call Centre.   1. What is MTN CUG + Data?
    MTN CUG (Closed User Group) + Data is a voice, SMS, and data offering designed for corporate organizations, SMEs – SOHO, NGOs, and similar entities. It allows unlimited calling and texting within a specified group and minutes to call outside CUG for a flat monthly fee, along with a daily data bundle.
  2. Who is eligible for MTN CUG + Data?
    This service is available to all registered SMEs – SOHO, corporate organizations, professional associations, NGOs, public sector organizations.
  3. How do I subscribe to MTN CUG + Data?
    Prepaid customers can self-onboard through a USSD process *843#. Alternatively, Postpaid customer can sign a contract and be activated in their nearest service centers across the country.

  • What does “Unlimited Voice and SMS in CUG” mean?
    It means you can make unlimited voice calls and send unlimited text messages to other members within your closed user group without additional charges.
  • What happens if I exhaust my daily data allocation?
    Once your daily data bundle is exhausted, you will need to purchase additional data bundle by dialing *345# or *140# to purchase voice packs or wait until midnight for your daily data allocation to reset.
  • Are there any restrictions on the number of closed user groups I can join?
    Yes, you can be a member of up to three closed user groups.
  • Can I add non-corporate members to my CUG + Data group?
    Yes, any number can be added as a member to the CUG + Data group.
  • How do I manage my CUG + Data subscription?
    Prepaid customers can manage their CUG+DATA subscription, including adding or removing members, through the USSD code *843# and follow prompts. Postpaid customers will submit a request letter via the Service Centre across the country for both adding or removing users in the CUG.
  • What happens if I don’t renew my CUG + Data subscription?
    When your subscription expires, your group members will lose access to the CUG + Data benefits, including unlimited calls, SMS within the group, and the daily data bundle.
  • What should I do if I encounter issues with my CUG + Data service?
    You can contact MTN customer support for assistance by calling us on 3111, email us on Sales.RW@mtn.com  or visit our nearest MTN service Centre.

  • Can I increase the daily data allocation?
    The daily data allocation is fixed according to the package selected. If you need more data, you can either upgrade to a higher package or purchase additional data bundles by dialing *345#.
  • Is there a minimum number of members required to form a CUG?
    The minimum number is 3, But it’s ideal to have a reasonable number of members to fully benefit from the CUG + Data services.

  • Is there a Maximum number of members required to form a CUG?
    No, there is no Maximum number of members required.
