This week on Wednesday 20th, MTN became the 1st telecom to comply with new legislation aimed at increasing financing for Mutuelle de Santé through Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB).

The partnership is to further the Government agenda of providing quality healthcare to all Rwandans.

Iwawa rehabilitation center is located deep in heart of Lake Kivu in Rutsiro District. Today’s #YelloCare was all about the youth going through rehabilitation on the island. Ms. Chantal Kagame Chief Business and Corporate Affairs Officer said, “MTN’s visit first is to bring you our love as part of our month of love which we call #YelloCare.

She went on to add that MTN accompanied by other stakeholders starting on this day will begin constructing cell towers something that lacked in the sprawling island of hundreds of hectares.

Another gift of love from MTN was to provide the ICT students with 12 desktop computers to add to what they already have. They also invited the students to use the coding courses offered by MTN in partnership with K Lab which can be found by visiting: www.yellocoding.com.

The Director-General of National Rehabilitation Service, Mr Aime Bosenibamwe told the youth that people want to see them become better hence the visit from MTN.

There was a moving testimonial from Pastor Theo who himself was an addict for 7 years, something that caught the ears of the youth there.

To conclude the day well known Rwandan artists who are finishing their stay at Iwawa R C performed some of their beloved music as the day ended.

With hearts filled with joy, MTN staff head back to Kigali fully aware that the #BrighterLives they are changing one Yello Care day at a time will bring forth great fruit.
