Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi
Chief Executive Officer
Mitwa Ng’ambi is a telecom specialist with a career spanning more than 10 years in telecoms and joined MTN from Airtel Tigo Ghana where she held the role of CEO. Prior to which, she was CEO of Tigo Senegal. Ng’ambi has been described as a seasoned leader with a career spanning more than 10 years in the telecom sector.
She has been serving as CEO of Airtel-Tigo Ghana prior to which she was the Tigo boss in Senegal. She previously worked for the MTN Benin as Chief Marketing Officer. She has also been described as one with experience in commerce, technology and developing growth strategies.
Over the years, she has also gained experience in leading mergers and acquisitions in the telecom industry. She has a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Joensuu, Finland, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Namibia.
Chief Marketing Officer
Richard is the Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Rwanda with 11 years of experience with 18 years of Excellent Commercial track record with Multinationals across Brewery and Telecommunications.
Prior to joining MTN Ghana in 2007, Richard was active within Ad media FCB and Guinness. At MTN Ghana, Richard served several roles before joining MTN Rwanda in 2018.
Richard attended the University of Ghana, Legon, graduating with BA (Marketing & Psychology) in 2000. In 2008, He enrolled for the Executive MBA programs, specializing in Marketing. Richard is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Member of the Association of Certified Business Analyst Ghana.
Chief Finance Officer
Mark is a Chartered Accountant (CPA Rwanda) and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has over 20 years of experience in Financial Management and Risk Management.
He also holds an MBA in Finance earned from the Maastricht School of Management. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.
Prior to joining MTN Rwanda, he was a Chief Financial Officer for 6 years at the Rwanda Development Board. He also had a stint in the aviation industry when he served at the National Airline, Rwandair as a Finance Manager from 1998 to 2004.
Chantal Umutoni Kagame
Chief Business and Corporate Affairs Officer
Chantal is a senior Telecom Executive with over 19 years of experience in Multinational Telecommunications.
She has a track record of excellent achievement in the 3 Rwandan Telco companies in areas of Executive Leadership, Sales and Distribution, Mobile Financial Services, Strategy Development and Execution, Corporate Affairs and Credit Management.
Chantal holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.
Chief Technology and Information Officer
Mohammad is energetic and results-driven, envisioning and leading technology-based initiatives as CTIO at MTN Rwanda.
He has a fast-tracked management career marked by building peak performing teams to achieve cross-functional business objectives. He has contributed to seasoned broad-based perspectives to create pragmatic technical strategies and implementation plans designed for maximum returns at the lowest possible costs.
Mohammad successfully completed the PLD Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. He also completed the GAP program at MTN Academy and the University of Pretoria.
Chief Sales and Distribution Officer
Norman is currently the Chief Sales and Distribution Officer at MTN Rwanda. He has served in different Senior positions at MTN Rwanda since its inception in 1998.
With Over 20 years’ experience in the Telcom industry, Norman has a vast experience in Strategic Corporate Business, Sales and Distribution Operations, Mobile Financial Services, Customer Care Operations, and Project Management.
Norman holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Maastricht School of Management – The Netherlands. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University in Uganda
Enock K. Luyenzi
General Manager, Human Resources
Enock is a Chartered Human Resources Analyst (CHRA). He holds an MBA in International Strategic Management from Mt. Kenya University; a Telecom Mini MBA from the Telecoms Academy and a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Rwanda. He has done various executive trainings in Leadership and on Strategy Execution with Maps and Balance Scorecard Master Class from Harvard Business School.
Enock has a passion for Strategic Management with solid Human Resources and Administration skills in the Banking, the Public Sector and the Telecommunication Industry.
He joined MTN Rwanda with over 16 years of experience from the Office of the President as a Director of Logistics and later as the Head of Human Resources and Administration at Bank of Kigali. He is passionate about developing high performing teams to drive customer demands, business growth and profitably.
Head of Internal Audit & Forensics
George is the Head of Internal Audit & Forensics at MTN Rwanda. Prior to that, he served in different Managerial positions at Crystal Ventures Ltd and at the Rwanda Social Security Fund.
George has over 12 years of experience in both public and private sectors with commanding knowledge in Finance and Auditing.
He holds an MBA Finance from Oklahoma Christian University, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Makerere University and is currently in the final stages of obtaining an ACCA qualification.
Head of Risk and Compliance
Winifred is the Head of Risk and Compliance at MTN Rwanda. Prior to that, she held managerial roles within MTN Rwanda Finance; serving as Senior Manager Finance Operations and Senior Manager Financial Planning, Budgeting and Tax. Before joining MTN, she worked as an audit professional at EY, the global consulting firm, for a period of 7 years.
She holds an MBA Finance from the University of Nairobi and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Daystar University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant
Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs & Company Secretary
Sharon is currently the Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs and the Company Secretary at MTN Rwanda, a position she has held since 2015.
Between 2011 and 2014, she was the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Supervisor and from 2009 to 2011 she was a Legal Officer at MTN Rwanda.
Sharon holds a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa which she obtained in 2007 and 2006 respectively.
