1. What are MTN Social media bundles?

• MTN has introduced social media bundles which are bundles that can only be used on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram to allow customers continue enjoying 4G internet. These bundles are only limited to chatting and not voice or video calls.

 

• Customers can opt to buy these bundles to be able to navigate on any of the above-mentioned social medias. 

2. Who is eligible to purchase Social media bundles?

• For now, all our Prepaid Customers on Yolo are eligible to buy Social media bundles.

3. How can I purchase Social media bundles?

• Dial *154*2# and choose option 5 to purchase a Social Media data Bundle of your choice. Below is the customer journey for reference

4. What’s new with Social media bundles?

• Yolo customers can now choose to buy internet specific bundles to use on social media instead of buying an internet bundle in general. 

5. Can I use the WhatsApp bundle to make video and voice calls?

• WhatsApp bundles are only used for chat. However, to make a WhatsApp video or voice call, customers are required to have an existing data bundle or airtime which will be depleted. If you don’t have an existing data bundle or airtime, the WhatsApp voice or video call will not go through, and you will have to buy a data bundle.

6. Can I buy multiple Social media bundles?

• Customers are allowed to purchase different Social media bundles multiple times.

7. If I buy another Bundle different from Social media bundles and then buy a Social media bundle, which one is given priority in terms of usage?

• When a customer buys a different bundle and then buys a social media bundle, priority is given to Social media bundle while using social media (WhatsApp & Facebook/Instagram). The other active data bundle starts working only when the Social media bundle is exhausted.

• Customers will soon be able to buy for others Social media bundles.
