Recognising quality, innovation and collaboration among its trade partners, MTN Rwanda on 16th January held its first ever annual Trade Partnership Awards that were presented to outstanding trade partners at Kigali Serena Hotel.
The ceremony recognised the work of partners such as Franchisees, Distributors and Retailers across the country to honour them for their contributions in advancing and supporting key MTN initiatives, products, processes and helping to increase customer satisfaction.
MTN Rwanda CEO, Ebenezer Asante, said, “2014 has proven that we are on the right track and we’ll continue driving innovation and enhancing customer experience.
We have made significant additions to our service offering and this event has provided us with the ideal opportunity to get feedback from our partners.
” When asked about the criteria in order to gain recognition, MTN’s Chief Sales & Distribution Officer, Annie Bilenge, said that the trade partners must meet a variety of performance criteria, including business and sales growth, superior customer service and support, and partnership dedication, among others.
The winners from each region were awarded with various prizes such as computers, motorbikes, money counting machines and Mobile Money cash all worth 60,000,000Rwf.

• Best Mobile Money agents
• Best Virtual Top Up agents
• Best Distributors
• Best Franchisees

” In addition to the 15 Service Centres MTN has countrywide including the first ever 24-hour Service Centre at UTC, italso has 6 Franchisees, over 200 distributors and over 60,000 retailers country wide.
